Senior Leader-to-Leader Conversation Guide

This guide provides senior leaders with a structured approach to discussing key concepts in preventing harassment and building a respectful workplace with their leadership teams. The guide is designed to increase mid-level leaders awareness and understanding of their role in creating respectful workplaces, and to give them an opportunity to practice assessing and responding to harassment and disrespectful behaviour.

The guide takes approximately an hour to cover and is divided into three sections:

  1. Assessing the situation
  2. Taking appropriate action
  3. Introducing the Leader-to-Employee Conversation Guide

Leader-to-Employee Conversation Guide

This guide provides leaders with a structured approach to reviewing the concepts covered in the online training and gives employees the opportunity to apply those concepts in the workplace.

The guide is divided into four modules. Each module takes approximately one hour, and is intended to help employees build skills for addressing disrespectful behaviour:

  1. What do we mean by respect?
  2. What is the impact of harassment?
  3. What is the cost of not speaking up?
  4. Taking action

The guides are in PDF format and can be downloaded from the online training site.
